SO BEFORE WE MOVE ON, I JUST WANTED TO REMIND FOR THOSE IN ATTENDANCE, THAT IN ACCORDANCE WITH BYLAW 9223, MEETING CON CONDUCT, INDIVIDUAL SPEAKERS SHALL BE ALLOWED TWO MINUTES TO ADDRESS THE BOARD, AND THE BOARD SHALL LIMIT THE TOTAL TIME FOR PUBLIC INPUT ON EACH ITEM TO 20 MINUTES. GOOD EVENING. BOARD MEMBERS AND GUESTS, AND SUPERINTENDENT. THE DISCOVERY HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL TEAM ENJOYED THEIR LAST GAME THURSDAY AND THE SCHOOL WAS EXCITED TO SHARE THE JOYOUS NEWS WITH THEIR BULLDOG FAMILY. DHS BULLDOGS ENJOYED THEIR FIRST EVER LUNCHTIME YARN CLUB AND EXPERIENCED A GOOD TURNOUT OF 15 STUDENTS AND STAFFER MEMBERS.

BOYS BASKETBALL WINNING THE NUMBER TWO SEED TO HOST THE PLAY-OFFS. THE TIGERS CONTINUE TO CELEBRATE BLACK HISTORY MONTH THROUGHOUT DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS, AND THROUGH OUR BLACK STUDENT UNION EVENTS. THE TIGER MUSIC PROGRAM COMPETED IN THE FIRST OF FOUR WINTER GUARD AND PERCUSSION COMPETITIONS ON SATURDAY. AT LGA ASSOCIATED STUDENT BODY, THEY HAVE BEEN BUSY WITH A WIDE RANGE OF ACTIVITIES.

THEY ARE CELEBRATING BLACK HISTORY MONTH IN AND OUT OF CLASSROOM. THEY WILL BE SHOWCASING THEIR VARIOUS TALENTS AT THE LGA TALENT SHOW.

ON THURSDAY, ON THE 23RD AT 5:00 P.M.

THE BLACK STUDENT UNION HAS BEEN BUSY WITH EVENTS FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY. BLACK HISTORY MONTH.

EVENTS INCLUDE FIELD TRIPS, FUND-RAISERS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES ON CAMPUS. THIS MONTH IS CAPPED OFF WITH THE BLACK EXPERIENCE BALL AND AWARDS GALA CELEBRATING THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF OUR STUDENTS AND A DANCE THAT FOLLOWS.

THE BLACK EXCELLENCE BALL WILL BE HELD ON FEBRUARY 25, FROM 7:00 TO 10:00 P.M. ALL ARE WELCOME.

ALL OF THE SPORTS TEAMS HAD SUCCESSFUL SEASONS.

THE GIRLS WRESTLING TEAM WENT UNDEFEATED IN THE LEAGUE AND THE BOYS WRESTLING TEAM DID WELL ALSO.

BOYS BASKETBALL WON FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TEN YEARS.

THE BOYS SOCCER TEAM ADVANCED TO THE PLAY-OFFS AS WELL.

IT IS GREAT TO BE A NIGHT HAWK. STUDENTS HAVE BEEN SHOWING THEIR SCHOOL SPIRIT IN CREATIVE WAYS. AS PART OF BLACK HISTORY MONTH, WE HAVE BEEN REFLECTING ON QUOTES FROM PROMINENT LEADERS AND CELEBRITIES, AND HOW THE MESSAGE CONNECTS WITH LIVING THE PANTHER WAY. THE PANTHER GIRLS AND BOYS BASKETBALL TEAMS HAD THE HONOR TO COMPETE IN CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES THIS WEEK. BOTH TEAMS BROUGHT HOME WINS.

WE ARE ENDING THE WEEK IN CELEBRATION, RECOGNIZING STUDENT EFFORTS IN MAINTAINING GPA, ATTENDANCENS AND BEHAVIOR.

I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THE UPCOMING SPORTS EVENTS.

WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK OUR COUNSELORS, ASSISTING SENIORS IN THE COLLEGE PROCESS. THANK YOU.

MR. WALKER. I WANT TO GIVE THEM A SHOUT-OUT FOR THE INCREDIBLE WORK HE IS DOING OVER THERE AT THE STUDENT UNION. WE TALKED ABOUT DOUBLE CONSCIOUSNESS. WE SPEAK A LOT ABOUT IT HERE ON THE BOARD. VERY RECEPTIVE STUDENTS WHO ARE GOING TO BE C.E.O.'S AND SUPERINTENDENTS SOME DAY.

THAT WAS GREAT TO SEE. I HAVE ACCOMPLISHED AND COMPLETED A GREAT SERVICE, TRAINING, AND NEW TRUSTEE ORIENTATION AGAIN. THANK YOU.

AMERICAN LAKES SCHOOL, TWO RIVERS ELEMENTARY AND LEROY GREENE ACADEMY. I GOT TO SEE OUR STUDENS ACROSS DIFFERENT GRADE LEVELS, DIFFERENT AGES.

OUR TEACHERS AND STAFF DURING THE SCHOOL DAY ITSELF.

WHICH I REALLY WANTED TO HAVE A CLANS TO DO.

AND THANKS TO SARAH FOR SCHEDULING THOSE VISITS.

I KNOW IT IS A LOT OF WORK TO GET EVERYBODY'S CALENDARS IN ORDER. I NEVER TAKE THAT FOR GRANTED.

THANKS TO ALL THE TEACHERS THAT I GOT TO MEET DURING THEIR PREP SESSIONS, AND JUST GET A LITTLE GLIMPSE FOR ALL THE COLLABORATIVE WORK THAT GOES ON TOGETHER.

THE LAST PIECE OF THANKS BEFORE I SHARE A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE VISITS, WHAT THEY REALLY LOOK LIKE, THANKS TO ALL THE PRINCIPALS. PRINCIPALS RODRIGUEZ, PERRY, AND CENINO. AND ANGELA HERRERA AND CORY BUCKMASTER FOR HELPING WITH THE WALK-THROUGHS.

NOW I WANT TO SHARE LITTLE TINY BIT ABOUT KIND OF WHAT THINGS I WAS ABLE TO SEE. SOME OF THEM WERE FAMILIAR.

SO INCLUDING THE THINGS THAT YOU COULD PROBABLY THINK OF WHEN WALKING THROUGH CLASSROOMS. THEN SOME OF THEM WERE NEW TO ME. GOT TO SEE SOME OF THE STUDENTS STARTING THE CLASS WITH YOGA WHICH I WOULD HAVE NEVER IMAGINED. THAT WAS REALLY GREAT TO SEE.

I KIND OF WANTED TO JOIN: THE MATS WEREN'T BIG ENOUGH.

I SAW SOME OF THE STUDENTS IN THE CLASSROOMS. TEKA IS NEW TO ME. STUDENTS ENJOYING MATH.

THAT WAS NEW TO ME. MAYBE I'M PROJECTING.

AND THEN STUDENTS TAKING HOME JOURNALS FOR READING COMP HE HEDGES... COMPREHENSION AND FOR WAYS FOR THEIR PARENTS TO ENGAGE

WITH THEM AT HOME. I THOUGHT THAT WAS REALLY NICE.

I GOT TO HOLD ONE OF THE JOURNALS AND READ THROUGH IT.

THERE IS NOTHING LIKE A REAL-LIFE EXAMPLE FOR ALL OF THIS INFORMATION THAT WE GET HERE.

LASTLY, I SAID I WAS GOING TO BRAG ABOUT THIS, SO NOW I AM.

LGA HAS A KILN FOR CERAMICS WHICH, OF COURSE, LEADS TO JUST A LOT OF ENRICHMENT FOR ALL THE ARTS THAT ARE HAPPENING.

THEN I'LL END WITH THIS. STUDENTS PLAYING SPORTS REMINDED ME OF MY TIME PLAYING DEFENSE AT JEFFERSON EL MENRY THE.

ELEMENTARY. AND THEN STUDENTS BREAKING OUT INTO SONG. AS YOU CAN TELL, AN OVERALL GREAT TIME. I LOOK FORWARD TO MORE SCHOOL SITE VISITS. THIS IS A LITTLE BIT OF WHAT I WANTED TO SHARE WITH EVERYONE. THANK YOU.

THEY WERE HANDING OUT COFFEE AND SNACKS TO PARENTS, COMING IN AND OUT OF THE SCHOOL. IT WAS WONDERFUL TO SEE OUR STAFF GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND. THE TEAM DOES A GREAT JOB WITH THAT. PARENTS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED THAT CUP OF COFFEE AND THAT WARM HANDOFF IN THE MORNING.

THANK YOU TO THEM. I ALSO WAS ABLE TO CONNECT WITH THE CROSSING GUARD AT H. ALLEN HIGHT.

HER NAME IS JAZZY. SHE DOES EVERY SINGLE DAY HELPING OUR KIDS CROSS THE SIDEWALKS.

SHE DOES SO WITH A SMILE ON HER FACE.

IT IS REALLY IMPORTANT FOR ME TO CALL OUT PEOPLE DOING THE RIGHT THING EVERY SINGLE DAY. I WANTED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE HARD WORK THAT SHE DOES. I ALSO ENCOURAGE MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY TO ATTEND THE UPCOMING SESSIONS.

WE ALSO HAVE SESSIONS AND SURVYING AVAILABLE IN SPANISH.

WE CAN RECEIVE MAXIMUM PARTICIPATION IN RECEIVING INPUT. ALSO ON ANOTHER NOTE, I WAS ABLE TO VOLUNTEER IN MY DAUGHTER'S CLASSROOM AS JUST BEING THERE AS A MOM. SHE WAS STAR STUDENT OF THE WEEK. I WAS ABLE TO SEE CLASSROOMS FIRSTHAND. KINDERGARTEN AS WELL AS SEEING THE LUNCHTIME ROUTINE. OUR JANITORS ARE INCREDIBLE.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB CLEANING UP THE MILK THAT SPILLED ON THE FLOOR, THE FOOD THAT IS DROPPED ON THE COUNTER.

I WANTED TO GIVE THEM A QUICK SHOUT-OUT AS WELL AS TO OUR CAFETERIA LADIES WHO HELP SIGNIFICANTLY WITH OUR YOUTH ON CAMPUS. THAT CONCLUDES MY REPORT.

>> I'M GLAD THAT PEOPLE ARE GETTING OUT INTO THE SCHOOLS AND THE CLASSROOMS. IT IS EXCITING WHEN YOU WALK.

IN I ALWAYS SAY THAT IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF PROBLEMS, IT IS EXCITING. I WAS ABLE TO SPEND A COUPLELE OF DAYS IN CLASSROOMS, BUT IN ANOTHER ROLE THROUGH THE CSBA, I VISITED CLASSROOMS IN COMPTON, ONE OF MY FIRST CHOICES.

AND ALSO ANOTHER AREA THAT WAS VERY SIMILAR.

I CHOSE THOSE SCHOOLS BECAUSE I THINK WE HAVE IMAGES OF WHAT THE SCHOOLS ARE LIKE IN LOW-PERFORMING, YOU KNOW, LOW-PERFORMING SCHOOLS, UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES.

I WANTED TO GO AND SEE FIRSTHAND WHAT SOME THINGS THAT... YOU KNOW, THEY WERE DOING TO HELP ADVANCE EDUCATION LITERACY AND MATH AND JUST ALL AROUND. I WAS REALLY IMPRESSED WITH EVERYTHING I SAW. LOTS OF LITERACY.

LOTS OF MATH. I VISITED THE FIFTH GRADE DUAL IMMERSION CLASSROOM. I WATCHED THEM DO SOME MATH.

THEY WERE SO KIND. THEY DIDN'T CORRECT ME.

I PARTICIPATED IN THERE. I USED A WRONG WORD.

WHEN I LISTENED TO THEM, THEY USED THE RIGHT WORD.

IT WAS KIND OF LIKE MY CLUE THAT I DIDN'T USE THE RIGHT WORD.

FOR A DIVISION OF A PIZZA. BUT ANYWAY, I THOUGHT THEY HAD SUCH CLASS. BUT YOU KNOW, I WALKED SOME NEIGHBORHOODS. I SPENT TIME WITH PRINCIPALS.

EVERY TIME I GO ON A VISIT OUTSIDE THIS DISTRICT, I AM...

I'M REMINDED OF HOW GRATEFUL I AM FOR WORKING IN THIS DISTRICT.

FOR SERVING IN THIS DISTRICT. BECAUSE WE WORK REALLY HARD TO BRING ABOUT CHANGE IN THIS DISTRICT.

BUT THE PARENTS ARE THERE. SO RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE SCHOOLS WHICH ARE K-6, THEY HAVE THESE FAMILY CENTERS.

SO THOSE WERE THE LITTLE KIDS. THE THREE-YEAR-OLDS AND, YOU KNOW, THE TK KIDS GET TO GO THERE.

WHAT I CAME AWAY WITH ALSO, BESIDES SEEING ALL THE GOOD THINGS THEY WERE DOING, THE COMMENTS FROM THE PRINCIPALS.

AND THE PRINCIPALS REINFORCED FOR ME ALL THE TIME... THE SUPERINTENDENT OF L.A. USD ACCOMPANIED ON THIS VISIT.

THE PRINCIPAL REITERATED SOMETHING THAT HAS BEEN OFTEN SAID IN MANY SETTINGS. EDUCATIONAL SETTINGS.

THAT IS THAT, YOU KNOW, WE HAVE SUCH A CHALLENGE WITH THE SOCIAL-EMOTIONALS A PECK OF WORKING WITH OUR KIDS.

ONE PRINCIPAL SAID "YOU ARE NOT GOING TO SEE THE SCHOOL BRING ABOUT CHANGE IN THE FIRST YEAR OR THE SECOND YEAR.

MAYBE THE THIRD YEAR OR THE FOURTH YEAR." HE SAID "MY FOCUS RIGHT NOW IS MAKING SURE THAT THESE KIDS ARE SAFE AND THAT THEY ARE HEALTHY AND THAT THEY HAVE ALL THE RESOURCES THERE IN FRONT OF THEM, BUT IT IS SUCH A CHALLENGE." ESPECIALLY IN COMMUNITIES WHERE KIDS SOMETIMES DON'T SEE ANY HOPE OF GETTING OUT OF THEIR COMMUNITY. SO I WAS... I APPRECIATED THE HONESTY FROM THE SCHOOL SITE PRINCIPALS.

THE PRINCIPALS WERE VERY DEDICATED: ONE OF THEM HAD GROWN UP IN THE COMMUNITY AND THEN CAME BACK.

THE PRINCIPAL WHO WALKS THE COMMUNITY, LOOKS FOR THINGS L LIKE, YOU KNOW, THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE GROUND.

KIDS COULD HAVE FALLEN IN THERE. I MEAN, JUST LITTLE THINGS LIKE THAT. YOU KNOW, THEY ARE VERY, VERY ENGAGED. SO YOU KNOW, I CAME AWAY WITH A LOT OF APPRECIATION, AS I ALWAYS DO HERE FOR THE HARD WORK AND THE EFFORTS ON BEHALF OF THE PRINCIPALS IN THE NATOMAS UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT AND ALL OVER THE STATE.

AND THE TEACHERS DAY AFTER DAY WHO GIVE SO MUCH OF THEIR TIME.

SO ANYWAY, I HAD A GREAT TIME. I KNOW I'M GOING TO BE HAVING MORE CONVERSATIONS ABOUT MY VISIT WITH TRUSTEE GRANT.

WE START OFF OUR YEAR PLANNING FOR THE NEXT YEAR WITH THE BUDGET CYCLE. WHEN IT KICKS OFF IN THE FALL.

BUT THIS IS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT REALLY SIGNIFIES A LOT OF TANGIBLE THINGS THAT START HAPPENING.

JUST REALLY EXCITED. A LOT OF WORK GOES INTO THIS.

TONIGHT WE ARE GOING TO LOOK AT OUR ENROLLMENT PROJECTIONS FOR NEXT YEAR. WE ARE GOING TO PRESENT SOME PRELIMINARY CERTIFICATED AND CLASSIFIED STAFFING ADJUSTMENTS FOR APPROVAL. IN ALL PAST YEARS, WE LOOK AT MULTIPLE DIFFERENT THINGS TO COME UP WITH OUR ENROLLMENTS.

PROJECTIONS. WE DO ANTICIPATE GROWTH, AS YOU WILL SEE. WE TALK ABOUT THAT IN A FEW DIFFERENT WAYS. THERE IS NATOMAS UNIFIED GROWTH.

AND THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE WHICH INCLUDES ALL OF THE CHARTERS. A LOT OF ADJUSTMENTS THIS YEAR FOR STAFFING. ESPECIALLY WITH THE TK EXPANSION THAT IS HAPPENING. WE ADDED TWO MONTHS OF ELIGIBILITY. I'LL GO INTO MORE DETAIL WITH THAT. LARRY G. MEEKS IS KIND OF SETTLING INTO A WITH ENROLLMENT AFTER THE PANDEMIC AND COVID.

THEY LOOK AT ALL KINDS OF FACTORS.

WE DO OUR OWN INTERNAL REPORTS, AND THEN WE COMPARE THE TWO TO SEE HOW CLOSE, HOW FAR ARE WE FROM EACH OTHER.

ONCE WE DO THAT, WE DO A TREND ANALYSIS.

WE ROLL UP ALL THE STUDENTS FROM ONE GRADE LEVEL TO THE NEXT.

THEN WE LOOK AT WHERE WE NEED TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS, FOR THINGS LIKE IF A GRADE LEVEL IS OPENING IN A NEW SCHOOL.

THINGS LIKE. THAT THIS YEAR, WE ARE A NEW SCHOOL OPENING FOR NEXT YEAR. WE LAND ON OUR PROJECTIONS, AND THEN WE LOOK AT OUR SCHOOL SITE AND SAY OKAY, WHERE ARE THE

ISSUES IN WHERE MAY WE BE TIGHT IN CLASSROOMS? DO WE HAVE A CAP OR DO WE HAVE PLENTY OF ROOM TO ADD ADDITIONAL TRANSFERS AND THINGS LIKE THAT? EVERY YEAR IS DIFFERENT.

LIKE I SAID, TEN YEARS NOW. EVERY SINGLE YEAR IS DIFFERENT.

THERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT ARE VERY CONSISTENT.

AND WE HAVE BEEN GROWING MOST OF THAT TIME.

THROUGHOUT MOST OF THAT TIME. A LOT OF THAT TIME.

SO LIKE I SAID, GROWTH CONT CONTINUES.

YOU DRIVE AROUND NATOMAS. IT IS NOT HARD TO SEE.

THERE IS CONSTRUCTION GOING ON. BOTH COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL.

NOT ALL OF THAT RESIDENTIAL GROWTH IS PRODUCING STUDENTS.

IT IS JUST DIFFERENT FACTORS. DEPENDING ON WHAT KIND OF HOUSING IT IS. THE ENROLLMENT HAS BEEN SO GOOD, YOU WILL SEE TONIGHT, WE WERE PLANNING ORIGINALLY TO HAVE TWO TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN CLASSES.

WE HAVE ENOUGH STUDENTS NOW TO OPEN A THIRD.

WWE ARE PULLING STUDENTS IN OUT OF DISTRICT THROUGH TRANSFER REQUESTS AS WELL. THERE IS A LOT OF REQUESTS TO GO THERE. THERE IS A LOT OF INTEREST IN THE SCHOOL. THAT IS GREAT.

LIKE I SAID, TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN IS EXPANDING.

WE EXPECT ABOUT 150 STUDENTS OR MORE IN TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN THIS YEAR. SORRY.

FOR NEXT YEAR. THAN WE HAVE CURRENTLY.

AND THE OTHER THING WE TALKED ABOUT THERE WITH LARRY G. MEEKS.

INDEPENDENT CHARTER SCHOOLS, WESTLAKE IS GOING UP ONE GRADE LEVEL AT THE HIGH SCHOOL. NATOMAS HAS FLAT ENROLLMENT.

NP3 HAS A GRADE LEVEL GOING UP. THAT WILL CONTINUE FOR ANOTHER YEAR. ONE BIG TAKE-AWAY, YOU HEAR LOTS OF DIFFERENT NUMBERS. THINGS GET POSTED.

ON SEARCHES AND OTHER STUFF. WE HAVE AT ANY GIVEN TIME, ABOUT 17,000 STUDENTS FROM PRESCHOOL ALL THE WAY THROUGH ADULT ENROLLED. WE PREDICT WE WILL SERVE ABOUT BECAUSE OVER THE COURSE OF THE YEAR, BECAUSE KIDS COME AND KIDS GO. SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 500 AND 1,000 KIDS OVER THE COURSE OF THE YEAR.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP THAT IN MIND BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH WE MIGHT ONLY HAVE 17,000 KIDS ENROLLED, ACROSS ALL THE CHARTERS AND EVERYTHING, WE PROVIDE NUTRITION SERVICE FOR MOST... PRETTY MUCH EVERY SC SCHOOL.

WE WANT TO KEEP THAT GOING. ALSO, SOMETHING ELSE TO THINK ABOUT, CLASSIFIED STAFF, WE ARE OPENING A NEW SCHOOL.

WE NEED NUTRITION PEOPLE. WE NEED CUSTODIANS.

WE NEED SECRETARIES. LIBRARIANS.

INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANTS FOR ALL THE TKS AND KINDERGARTENS.

PLAYGROUND ASSISTANTS. ALL THOSE POSITIONS GO ALONG WITH OPENING A SCHOOL. THOSE ARE ALSO INCLUDED HERE TONIGHT. BACK TO TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN. MOST OF THE GROWTH THIS YEAR, WE PREDICT, WILL COME WITH THE EXPANSION OF TRADITIONAL KINDERGARTEN. CALIFORNIA ROLLED OUT A PLAN.

THEY WERE GOING TO ADD TWO MONTHS OF TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN EVERY YEAR OVER THE COURSE OF FIVE YEARS.

THEY HAVE SPACE. AND THEY ARE USING THAT AVAILABLE SPACE TO FILL IN. IN OUR CASE, WE ARE OKAY THIS YEAR. EARLY PLANNING LOOKS LIKE WE WILL PROBABLY BE OKAY NEXT YEAR. BUT THE OUT YEARS, WE ARE STILL RIGHT NOW TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHERE DOES THE GROWTH COME, HOW MUCH GROWTH COMES, AND WHERE DO WE NEED IT.

AS YOU RUN UP AGAINST THE SPACE PROBLEM, WE MAY HAVE TO LOOK AT PORTABLES AND THEN ONE OF THE OTHER CHALLENGES IS THOSE YOUNGER STUDENTS TEND TO BE AWAY FROM WHERE THE CURRENT KK, PRE-K AND KINDER PROGRAMS ARE. FOR US, IT IS A BIGGER CHALLENGE. IF YOU TALK TO YOUR BOARD COLLEAGUES ELSEWHERE, THEY ARE, LIKE, THIS IS GREAT.

IT IS REALLY WORKING OUT FOR US. THERE IS PROBABLY DECLINING ENROLLMENT. THEY HAD CLASSROOM SPACES AVAILABLE. WE HAVE A DIFFERENT, MORE EXPENSIVE CHALLENGE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE NEXT TWO YEARS.

AS FAR AS I SPOKE WITH THE PARENTS, THE STUDENTS AT THAT PARTICULAR TEACHER... THAT PARTICULAR TEACHER HAS BEEN WONDERFUL IN THAT SCHOOL. I WILL TAKE THE PARENTS' AND STUDENTS' WORD AS IT IS. I HOPE THAT MS. CONNELLY GOES BACK TO AMERICAN LAKES. SECOND, I'M GOING TO TALK ABOUT WHAT I PRESENTED ON FEBRUARY 8. I'M TRYING TO BE VERY EXACT WITH THE DATE. WHEN I CAME TO THE LAST BOARD MEETING REGARDING THE SCHOOL CONNECTION ORGANIZATION BOARD POLICY THAT YOU GUYS HAVE. AS YOU KNOW, THE P.T. O. IS AN ESTABLISHED ORGANIZATION. WE FUNCTION OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL, BUT WE ARE STILL... WE STILL WANT TO WORK INSIDE THE SCHOOL GROUNDS. WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO HAVE THE SAME OPPORTUNITIES THAT THE GIRL SCOUT TROOP THAT MEETS EVERY MONDAY AT THE LIBRARY HAS. THEY MEET INSIDE THE SCHOOL GROUNDS. AND WE HAVE PARENTS, WE HAVE TEACHERS, WE HAVE GRANDPARENTS IN COMMUNITIES.

ACTUALLY, WE HAVE ONE BOARD MEMBER HERE WHO IS A PTO MEMBER FROM AMERICAN LAKES. I WANT TO KNOW HOW OR WHEN IT IS GOING TO BE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH YOU GUYS, TO MEET WITH YOU AND TALK ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF HAVING A GOOD COLLABORATION WITH US BECAUSE WE ARE HERE IN NATOMAS.
