I KNOW THERE IS A LOT TO DO TONIGHT, SO I [X.d. Board Members ] WILL KEEP IT SHORT. THANK YOU, EVERYONE. >> OKAY. TRUSTEE DOSICK? >> IT HAS BEEN GREAT GETTING TO KNOW YOU THIS YEAR. CONGRATULATIONS ON SUCH AN EXAM THREE CAREER. YOU ARE BRINGING A VALUED STUDENT VOICE TO THE BOARD , AND WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SUBORDINATE GAMES NEXT YEAR. >> ALL OF US WILL HAVE ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT YOU, BUT IT'S GOOD TO GO AHEAD NOW. TRUSTEE GRANT? >> THERE IS ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY , BUT I WANT TO THANK TRUSTEE DOSICK. APPRECIATE YOUR POINTS AND HOW SERIOUSLY YOU TOOK THIS POSITION. I APPRECIATE THAT YOU ARE AN EXCELLENT ADVOCATE FOR STUDENTS. WE ARE REALLY PROUD OF YOU. THIS GUY IS LIKE WEAPON X. HE KNOWS EVERYONE. WE HAD SUCH A SUCCESSFUL CAREER. IT'S VERY OBVIOUS . SO, WE REALLY ENJOYED HAVING YOU . I LEARNED A LOT FROM YOU, AND DISCONNECTED - PLEASE STAND BY WHILE RECONNECTING ] >> TO THE CLASS OF 2028 AND CLASS OF 2024 , I WANT TO ECHO A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO THE UNDERGRADUATE GRADUATION CEREMONIES, BUT I ALSO WANTED TO MAKE A SPECIAL NOTE TO THE PEOPLE WHO WERE WITH THEM ALONG THE WAY . OUR STUDENTS, [00:10:01] TEACHERS, FAMILY, STAFF , AND ALSO A SPECIAL NOTE TO THANK STAFF THAT HAVE A PLAN TO EXECUTE THOSE MASSIVE EVENTS ON A SCHOOL SITE , AND WE SAW YOU ALL HELPING WITH THE TRANSITION FROM ONE HIGH SCHOOL TO ANOTHER. THIS HELPS MAKE THE LIVESTREAM HAPPEN SINCE WE ARE REPORTING TO THOSE WHO ARE FAMILY AND STUDENTS. SO, I JUST WANTED THE TIME THAT I GET TO MY BOARD REPORT TO SINCERELY THANK EVERYONE WHO HELPED MAKE THINGS HAPPEN. WE GET TO ENJOY THEM, AND A LOT OF PEOPLE GET TO ENJOY THEM, AND WE PUT THAT ALL TOGETHER. I JUST WANTED TO HIGHLIGHT THAT. ALSO, THE ONLY THING I HAVE TO REPORT IS AN EVENT I WAS ABLE TO ATTEND . WEARING MY TRUSTY HAT WAS A SCHOLARSHIP AWARD CEREMONY IN A COMMUNITY FOUNDATION . I ATTENDED WITH TRUSTEE HARDEN, WHO SAW A HANDFUL OF STUDENTS WHO WERE JUST INCREDIBLE. WE GOT TO LEARN ABOUT THEM. THIS IS ALWAYS A GREAT EVENT AND A GREAT ENDEAVOR TO SUPPORT. THE LAST THING THAT I WANT TO HIGHLIGHT IS HAPPY PRIDE MONTH. I KNOW WE HAVE THE CHANCE TO TALK ABOUT THE DISTRICT AND SUPPORT FOR OUR STUDENTS, BUT IT IS WANT TO REMIND US THAT PRIDE EXISTS IT AS A NECESSITY MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE. I AM EXCITED TO HEAR EVERYTHING THAT WE HAVE , AND WE HAVE A LOT DURING THIS MEETING. SO, I LOOK FORWARD TO GETTING TO ALL OF IT. THANK YOU. >> I JUST WANT TO SHARE TWO QUICK THINGS . NUMBER ONE, TRUSTEE HARDEN AND I WERE ON A CALL WITH A REPRESENTATIVE. HE COULD NOT MAKE IT. HE WAS IN SESSION. AND THAT WAS REGARDING PROP 98. OVER SEVERAL YEARS, WE HAVE REALLY THOUGHT TO STAY HANDS-OFF ON THAT. IN SOME YEARS, THERE WERE ATTEMPTS TO TAKE SOME MONEY, TO BE PAY IT BACK, MAYBE NOT PAY IT BACK TO IT , BUT I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT I THOUGHT IT WAS WORTHWHILE IN THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE, OBVIOUSLY. THEY MADE A DEAL, AND WE WILL WAIT TO SEE WHERE WE GO WITH THAT. SO, THE REGION SIX BE THAT WE BELONG TO WITH OTHER TRUSTEES NOW , I SAID IT'S LIKE MAGIC. WHEN YOU WALK ON THE FLOOR , THERE ARE LIGHTS AND PEOPLE WITH BANNERS AND CAMERAS AND EVERYTHING. THIS CONTINUES TO SUPPORT HAVING THE GRADUATION AT THAT LOCATION BECAUSE IT SENDS A MESSAGE TO OUR STUDENTS THAT WE THINK THIS IS IMPORTANT. WE VALUE YOU. WE WANT TO COME AND SEE YOU GRADUATE. IN AN ARENA THAT IS RESPECTFUL AND ALIGNING ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK. WE THANK EVERYBODY, AND AS TRUSTEE DOSICK SAID AS WELL, WE THINK EVERYBODY INVOLVED IN THAT. AND THEN TRYING TO KEEP FIVE TRUSTEES IN LINE AND KEEP US ON TIME IS ANOTHER CHALLENGE OF, THANK YOU, A BIG THANKS TO EVERYBODY . I CAN ONLY IMAGINE APPEARANCE FEEL SEEING THEIR CHILDREN WALK. AND THIS IS HOW PLAYERS FEEL. YOU KNOW? WE ARE JUST AS IMPORTANT AS THEY ARE. SO, I WILL HOLD MY REMARKS FOR THE OTHER PART OF THE AGENDA [X.e. Superintendent's Report ] HERE. I WILL NOW TURN IT OVER TO SUPERINTENDENT CASTILLO. [00:15:06] >> GOOD EVENING, EVERYONE. WE WERE HAVING A CONVERSATION BEFORE THE MEETING ON JUST WHAT A GREAT JOB THAT HE HAS DONE IN THE SCHOOL , AND HAS REPRESENTED HIMSELF WELL WITH OUR STUDENTS. EVERY TIME WE WENT TO THOMAS HI, I RAN INTO HIM, BECAUSE HE IS IN SO MANY ACTIVITIES, LEADERSHIP, THERE'S ALWAYS A BIG SMILE ON HIS FACE AND ENCOURAGING HIS FELLOW STUDENTS. I KNOW THAT THERE WILL BE A SUCCESS GOING TO SAC STATE. WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU. THE PROMOTIONS AT CEREMONIES, I WAS ABLE TO ATTEND SEVERAL OF THOSE. WHAT A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE OUR STUDENTS. THOSE WHO WILL GRADUATE IN 2048, IT'S AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO EIGHTH-GRADERS. THE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION WAS AMAZING . WE STARTED AT DISCOVERY HIGH SCHOOL OVER ON THEIR CAMPUS, AND IT WAS VERY SPECIAL TO HAVE THE SPEAKERS, THE STUDENTS, AND THE FAMILIES THERE. AS EVERYONE HAS BEEN TELLING ME SINCE MY FIRST DAY IS WAIT UNTIL GRADUATION. EVERYBODY WAS RIGHT. IT LIVED UP TO THE HYPE IF NOT MORE. WHAT A SPECIAL OPPORTUNIT FOR OUR STUDENTS , AND WHAT A WONDERFUL WAY TO CELEBRATE THEM. AT THE CULMINATION OF EVERYTHING WE DO, SEEING OUR STUDENTS GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL. SO, THIS IS A VERY SPECIAL MOMENT. AFTER HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATIONS , THAT FRIDAY, I WAS ABLE TO TRAVEL DOWN FOR THE STATE TRACK MEET. WE HAD FIVE ATHLETES IN THE HIGH SCHOOL THAT PARTICIPATED IN THAT EVENT. SO, THAT'S THE VERY HIGHEST LEVEL OF THE STATE MEET. IT WAS SORT OF HAIRY TRAFFIC IN THERE. SO, LUCKILY, THE EVENT IS HELD AT CANON HIGH SCHOOL, WHICH IS MY OLD STOMPING GROUNDS. BECAUSE THE GIRLS FOUR BY 100 WENT FIRST, WE HAD A BOY IN THE 110 HIGH HURDLES. WATCHING THAT, HE WAS AMAZING, AND COINCIDENTALLY, IN BOTH EVENTS, BUCHANAN HIGH SCHOOL WAS IN A LANE RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER. SO, YOU WATCH THE OLD SCHOOL AND THE NEW SCHOOL COMPETING THERE TOGETHER. SO, IT IS VERY PROUD OF THE STUDENTS, BECAUSE IT IS A BIG DEAL TO EVEN GET TO QUALIFY TO A STATE MEET. THE LEVEL OF COMPETITION THERE IS AMAZING. AND THEN, WE HAD OUR PARENT ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING , AND I JUST LOVE THAT GROUP. WE HAVE PARENTS THAT ARE SO ENGAGED. THERE COULD BE REALLY GOOD INPUTS, VERY THOUGHTFUL TAKING THE TIME TO RENEW OUR DOCUMENT INPUT. AND THEN, THIS WEEK, I HAVE BEEN ENJOYING OUR LEADERSHIP WRAP UP WITH ALL OF OUR LEADERS, AND PEOPLE PROBABLY UNDERESTIMATE HOW EARLY WE START PLANNING AND WORKING THROUGH THE FOLLOWING SCHOOL YEAR . SO, IT HAS BEEN A JOY TO DO THAT. SO, REALLY LOOKING, YOU KNOW, REALLY ENJOYING WRAPPING UP MY FIRST YEAR IN NATOMAS UNIFIED , I LOOK FORWARD TO MOVING INTO NEXT YEAR. [XI. CONSENT ITEMS ] >> SECONDED BY TRUSTEE DOSICK. WOULD YOU PLEASE CALL THE ROLE? [XII.a. LGBTQIA+ Conference Highlights ] >> TRUSTEE DOSICK? >> AYE. >> TRUSTEE HARDEN? >> AYE. >> TRUSTEE RODRIGUEZ? >> AYE. >> TRUSTEE GRANT? 13 >> TRUSTEE MORA? >> AYE. >> PRESIDENT HEREDIA? 13 >> THAT PASSES 6-0. MOVING ON NEXT TO CELEBRATIONS, ITEM 7A, THE LGBTQIA+ CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS , AND WE WILL BE LED THROUGH THIS PRESENTATION. >> WELL, GOOD EVENING, PRESIDENT HEREDIA, TRUSTEES, SUPERINTENDENT, STAFF, AND COMMUNITY. TONIGHT, WE ARE RECOGNIZING JUNE AS PRIDE MONTH IN THE NATOMAS UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT. THIS ALIGNS WITH OUR CORE VALUE OF DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION. AS WE ALL KNOW, BECAUSE WE ALL SAY IT, AND IT IS VERY, VERY TRUE, NATOMAS IS EXTREMELY DIVERSE , AND CITED IN MULTIPLE PUBLICATIONS IS THE MOST DIVERSE SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE STATE, AND SECOND IN THE NATION. WHILE PRIDE MONTH IS DESIGNATED FOR JUNE , IN NATOMAS, WE STRIVE TO DEMONSTRATE OUR COMMITMENT ALL YEAR LONG. ONE OF THE WAYS THAT WE DO THAT, JUST ONE EXAMPLE IS WITH OUR LGBTQIA+ SAFE HAVEN POSTERS , AND STICKERS THAT CAN BE SEEN THROUGHOUT THE DISTRICT. THERE IS A QR CODE WHICH YOU CAN SEE IN THE IMAGE ON EACH ONE OF THESE THAT GOES TO A WEBPAGE , AND THAT WEBPAGE [00:20:03] HAS CONTACT INFORMATION AND A LIST OF RESOURCES FOR THOSE WHO NEED IT. ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF OUR COMMITMENT IS WITH THE RESOLUTION THAT THE BOARD WOULD BE ASKED TO IMPROVE LATER IN THE MEETING , BUT ALSO, OUR RECENT STUDENT CONFERENCE THAT WE HELD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH NATOMAS CHARTER , MP3, AND WESTLAKE CHARTER SCHOOLS. THERE WAS A TEAM OF ABOUT 20 DEDICATED INDIVIDUALS WITH REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE DISTRICT STAFF , OUR HIGH SCHOOLS, CHARTER SCHOOLS , THAT INVOLVES STUDENTS IN COMMUNITY TEAM ORGANIZATIONS THAT MET REGULARLY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF OUR ASSOCIATE SUPERINTENDENT , AND THROUGH THAT, WE LISTENED JUST TO THE VOICES, WE DID RESEARCH TO DETERMINE THEIR NEES, AND FROM THAT, WE WERE ABLE TO CREATE A PLATFORM TO EDUCATE, SUPPORT, AND PROVIDE RESOURCES WHEN NEEDED. SO, I HAVE A VIDEO WITH THOSE HIGHLIGHTS THAT I WOULD LIKE YOU TO TAKE A LOOK AT. >> ALL RIGHT. SO, OUR STUDENTS, FAMILIES, AND STAFF FEEL REALLY VALUED, SEEN, AND INCLUDED . AND MANY COMMENTED, AS YOU HEARD, THAT THE APPRECIATED THE INTENTIONAL EFFORTS OF THE DISTRICT, AND ALL OF THOSE INVOLVED WHO CONTRIBUTED TO MAKING THAT HAPPEN. SO, WITH THAT, I WOULD LIKE TO CLOSE BY THANKING THE BOARD TO ALLOW THIS TIME AND SPACE ON THE AGENDA TO RECOGNIZE PRIDE MONTH IN NATOMAS UNIFIED. THANK YOU. >> THANK YOU. MOVING ONTO 7B , THIS IS RECOGNITION OF STUDENT [XII.b. Recognition of Student Board Member Valentino Rodriguez ] BOARD MEMBER VALENTINA RODRIGUEZ . TONIGHT, WE HONOR VALENTINA RODRIGUEZ FOR SERVING FOR THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR. AS A STUDENT OF NATOMAS HIGH SCHOOL, TINO SERVED ON STUDENT COUNCIL, AND GRANTS INCLUDING THE AP CAPSTONE DIPLOMA . IN THE SUMMER, HE PARTICIATED AT CITY HALL , AND WAS ASKED TO RETURN THIS SUMMER. DURING HIS TIME ON THE BOARD, HE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO VOICE HIS THOUGHTS, AND BRING PERSPECTIVES ON DIFFERENT TOPICS. TINO PLANS TO BECOME A STUDENT TEACHER. WE ARE TOLD THAT HE IS REGULARLY EXCITED TO BECOME A HORNET . TONIGHT, THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES IS PROUD TO PUBLICLY RECOGNIZE TINO FOR HIS DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT. MOMENTARILY, WE WILL AWARD HIM WITH THE THOUSAND DOLLARS SCHOLARSHIP TO HIS COLLEGE EXPENSES , AND A PLAQUE TO RECOGNIZE HIS TIME. BEFORE WE MOVE ON TO MAKE ANY, I DON'T SEE ANYBODY. >> NO, THANK YOU SO MUCH. THANK YOU FOR SHARING WITH US . WE APPRECIATE IT MORE THAN YOU KNOW. AND TINO, I JUST WANT TO [00:25:08] SAY , WHAT A DREAM IT HAS BEEN WITH YOU . GETTING TO KNOW YOU LAST JULY , YOU ARE WELCOME AT THE EVENT. WE MET TINO, AND WE BOTH CAME BACK AND ASKED IF YOU MET TINO. YOU KNOW, YOU CAME UP TO US , YOU WEREN'T SHY , YOU KNOW, YOU INTRODUCE YOURSELF , YOU TOLD US ABOUT WHAT YOU DO , AND I REMEMBER YOU SAYING TO ME WHEN I ASKED YOU WHAT YOU REALLY WANTED TO DO IN LIFE , I THINK EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO BE A SUPERINTENDENT. I THINK YOU SHOULD ALWAYS KEEP THAT GOAL IN MIND. BUT ANYWAYS, AGAIN, IT HAS BEEN GREAT. EVERYTHING THAT MY COLLEAGUE HAS SAID, YOU ARE KIND. YOU ARE VERY CONSIDERATE IN THE WORK THAT YOU HAVE DONE ON THIS BOARD , AND YOU HAVE ANY TRUE ASSETS. WE ARE TRULY BLESSED ON THIS BOARD. THANK YOU. AT THIS POINT, WHAT I WILL DO IS WILL I WILL ASK MY FELLOW TRUSTEES TO COME UP THE DAIS HERE , AND THEN TINO, I WILL GO AHEAD AND AWARD TO THE PLAQUE IN THE SCHOLARSHIP. FIRST I THOUGHT THIS WAS FOR ME, BUT THIS IS FOR YOU. WE TAKE PICTURES WITH BOARD MEMBERS, WE WOULD LIKE THE FAMILY TO COME UP AND TAKE A PICTURE ALSO. >> >> THANK YOU. GOODBYE. YOU KNEW HOW TO MAKE AN ENTRANCE, ALSO. I THINK YOU SHOULD PUT THAT ON YOUR DESK IN EACH CLASS. [00:30:12] ALL RIGHT, MOVING ON TO ITEM 14 A . AT THIS POINT , THE ASSOCIATE SUPERINTENDENT WILL LEAD US TO THIS PRESENTATION. SORRY, EVERYONE. I'M SKIPPING ONE AHEAD HERE. I AM SO EXCITED [XIII.a. LEAP Academy Program End-of-Year Update ] WITH TINO TO STAY ON TRACK HERE. SO, THIS IS 13 A, THE L.E.A.P. ACADEMY PROGRAM END OF THE YEAR REPORT. THERE IS NO PRESENTATION FROM STAFF, AND NO ACTION REQUESTED. THIS WAS ATTACHED TO THE AGENDA, AND IT WAS PUBLISHED EARLIER. I DON'T HAVE ANY COMMENTS REGARDING THIS? THERE IS NO ACTION, WE [XIV.a. NUSD Welcome Center ] WILL MOVE ONTO THE NEXT ONE. PRESENTATIONS. ALL RIGHT, HERE WE GO! THE PRESENTATION ON THE AND USD IT WELCOME CENTER. >> THANK YOU. TONIGHT, WE ARE REALLY HAPPY TO BE HERE TO TALK ABOUT SOMETHING NEW AND EXCITING , OUR NUSD WELCOME CENTER. WE WILL HEAR AN UPDATE REGARDING THE DEPARTMENT, WE ARE CALLING THE HEARTS DEPARTMENT THROUGH RESOURCES, WHICH INCLUDES POSTURE SUPPORT AND OTHER RESOURCES. AND THEN TRANSLATIONS. AND THEN WE WILL SHARE AN UPDATE FOR THE WELCOME CENTER. I ALSO WANT TO POINT OUT , WE ARE NOT GOING OUT AND HIRING NEW STAFF FOR THIS, WE ARE JUST CONSOLIDATING THE DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS THAT ARE KIND OF SPREAD ACROSS DIFFERENT BUILDINGS SO THAT PARENTS CAN HAVE A ONE-STOP SHOP. THEY WILL ALSO HELP BALANCE TRAFFIC FLOWS AND BUILD BUILDINGS, AND IT IS MEANT TO BE IN AND OUT FOR PARENTS. SO, WITH THE HELP OF OUR AMAZING ASSISTANT OVER HERE, WE MADE THIS GREAT POSTER THAT CAN EXPLAIN WHAT WE DO. I WAS THERE, LIKE I SAID, AND THE DEPARTMENTS THAT ARE THERE ARE LISTED ON THE RIGHT. BUT OTHER SERVICES WILL ALSO BE INCLUDED . SINCE TRANSPORTATION IS RIGHT THERE, NUTRITION , I.T., THE SERVICES WILL ALSO ALL BE OFFERED AT THE CENTER. THEY HAVE A DIFFERENT DEPARTMENT REPORTING STRUCTURES , BUT IT WILL ALL BE THERE. SO, IT REALLY IS ALL-ENCOMPASSING FOR MOST OF OUR PARENTS WILL NEED IN ONE PLACE. OBVIOUSLY IF YOU'RE APPLYING FOR A JOB, THIS IS SOME OTHER THINGS . WITH THAT, WHEN FAMILIES COME, ONE THINGS THAT WE ARE GOING TO DO AFTER THIS IS GREAT A NICE WELCOME VIDEO EXPLAINED TO PARENTS WHAT WE DO. LIKE, WELCOME IN! YOU CAN SHOW HOW YOU BROUGHT THEM IN AND SHOWED PEOPLE. WELCOME TO OUR NATOMAS FAMILY. THAT'S KIND OF GOES ALONG WITH THE HEART DEPARTMENT IDEA . BUT, START AT THE HEART. WE WILL HELP YOU GET OFF TO A REALLY GOOD START. SO, THE FACILITY WAS THE CLINIC . THE CLINIC SERVICES AND AT THAT LOCATION THE LAST WEEK OF JUNE. SO, JUST A COUPLE OF WEEKS FROM NOW. WE ALREADY STARTED THE TRANSITION TO SWITCH IT FROM THE CLINIC OVER TO OFFICE SPACES , AND MORE OF A LOBBY WHERE PARENTS CAN ACCESS SERVICES. SO, THAT IS ALL UNDERWAY. WE DO HAVE THE MEAT TERRY BURNS CENTER AVAILABLE. WHILE THE NEW BUILDING IS BUILT ACROSS THE STREET, THEY ARE STILL WORKING THROUGH LICENSING, AND THAT WON'T OFFICIALLY OPEN UNTIL THE FALL. SO, SERVICES WILL STILL CONTINUE , AND WE WILL ALSO BE OFFERING IMMUNIZATIONS AND PHYSICAL DISCLOSURES FROM THE CENTER ON CERTAIN DAYS. SO, OUR NEXT STEPS ARE JUST TO START, AGAIN, CONNECTING WITH FAMILIES, GET THE WORD OUT THAT YOU COME OVER HERE, WE HAVE SOME SIGNAGE COMING THAT SHOULD HELP DIRECT FAMILIES OVER HERE , AND THE WELCOME CENTER AT THE BACK TO SCHOOL EVENT , WHICH TAKES PLACE THE LAST SATURDAY OF JULY , THERE IS USUALLY A FARMERS MARKET SET UP AND OTHER PLACES WITH IMMUNIZATIONS AND THINGS LIKE THAT AS WELL. SO, WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT. I KNOW THAT WAS SHORT AND BRIEF, BUT THAT WAS REALLY EXCITING TO HAVE THIS NEW TEAM TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS. >> GREAT JOB. WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO IT. >> COOL. AWESOME. OKAY. THANK YOU. [XIV.b. Spring District Progress Report ] [00:35:06] >> SUPERINTENDENT, I WILL ASK YOU TO COME UP WITH ME. HE OVERSEES OUR RESEARCH DATA DEPARTMENT. TO JUST REMIND US, OUR DPR REPORTS , WE ARE BACK TO THE CYCLE OF DOING IT TWICE A YEAR NOW. NOW WE ARE STARTING TO GET SOME OF OUR ROUTINE ITEMS BACK IN PLACE. WE ARE FOCUSING ON OUR VISION, OUR CORE VALUES, AND OUR GOALS. SO, I WILL JUST DO A QUICK REMINDER OF THE FORMAT FOR THE SUPPORT, AND TALK ABOUT SYMMETRIX FOR THE SPRING THAT ARE NEW AND DIFFERENT , AND THEN WE WILL TALK ABOUT HOW WE ARE MOVING FORWARD. THIS IS JUST A REMINDER, THIS IS ACTUALLY A PAGE FROM THE DPR ON OUR WEBSITE DIGITALLY , WE WILL LOOK AT MULTIPLE MEASURES ON HOW TO SUPPORT OUR STUDENTS. JUST A REMINDER, WE WANTED TO SHARE SOME CURRENT METRICS FOR THESE PURPLE CIRCLES THAT HAVE NUMBERS. EACH ELEMENT IS CONVEYING, IN ESSENCE, WE IDENTIFY IN THE BLUE BAR IN THE TOP WHAT METRIC THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. NOT ONLY DO WE REPORT OUR DATA FOR ALL STUDENTS , WE BREAK DOWN THE STUDENT GROUPS ACROSS THE DISTRICT. THERE IS A DISCUSSION OF ACTION OF PROGRESS THAT IS HELPING CONTRIBUTE TO US GROW IN THE DISTRICT. AT THE BOTTOM OF EACH PAGE, WE JUST WANT TO NOTE THAT THERE ARE NOTATIONS OF WHAT SITES ARE INCLUDED IN THE METRIC. YOUR COLLECTING INFORMATION FROM THE STATE INTERNALLY, SO WE WANT TO CALL THAT OUT OF THE BOTTOM. IN THE SPRING, YOU WILL SEE A FEW BULLETS AT THE TOP. THESE ARE NEWER METRICS THAT WE TALKED ABOUT PILOTING THIS YEAR. WE'VE GOT TO EXPAND AND FOCUS ON SOME OF THE NEW MEASUREMENTS OF CITY GROWTH RELATED TO LITERACY AND MATH , AND THEN WE HAVE SOME UPDATES ON SAFETY CONNECTEDNESS AS WELL AS ADDING ATHLETIC PARTICIPATION RATES. OF COURSE, WE HAVE AN INTERNAL IMAGINE FOR SUSPENSION RATES. I WILL JUST EMPHASIZE, THESE ARE OUR INTERNAL RATES . WE GET OFFICIAL ONES , AND WE WILL UPDATE YOU ON THE FALL RATES. >> GOOD EVENING. THIS IS REALLY A PRIVILEGE TO GO TO THOSE UPDATES , BECAUSE SEVERAL OF THE CASES, WE HAVE CELEBRATIONS. IN THE CASE OF OUR WRITING ASSESSMENT, AS YOU CAN SEE , WE HAVE AN APPROVED ACROSS THE BOARD. THIS IS A REMINDER OF THE STUDENTS WHO TOOK THE WRITING EXAM. SO, IF THE STUDENT EARNED AN AVERAGE OF 2.5 OR ABOVE , THEY WILL BE LABELED AS PROFICIENT . YOU CAN SEE WE MOVE FROM 36 TO 51% OF ALL STUDENTS . IT'S VERY EXCITING. THIS IS SOMETHING WE WILL CONTINUE NEXT YEAR WHERE WE WILL HAVE OUR TWO SECOND CYCLE SAPLING HAPPENING AGAIN, NEXT YEAR , AND WILL SHOW OUR CONTINUED GROWTH. AS A REMINDER , THIS IS AT THE FAR END OF OUR TOP LARGE RAFT. WE ARE SHOWING A WHOLE TARGET OVERALL . AS A DISTRICT, AS WE SEE OUR RESULTS COME FORWARD EACH CYCLE, IS TO RE-EVALUATE THOSE TARGETS. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF INSTANCES IN TONIGHT'S PRESENTATION WHERE YOU CAN SEE A REVISED AND INCREASED TARGET BASED ON THE STUDY BASED ON OUR RESULTS. SO, ANOTHER GOOD OPPORTUNITY TO CELEBRATE SOME GROWTH , THIS IS A READING DIAGNOSTIC THROUGH OUR K-8 SCHOOLS. YOU CAN SEE IN THE FALL, WE WERE IN OUR FIRST FULL CYCLE OF LIMITATION DISTRICTS . WE DID NOT HAVE THIS TOOL LAST YEAR, BUT FOR THE FIRST TIME ACROSS ALL OF OUR SCHOOLS, WE REALLY EDIFY THAT AS A BASELINE AND WERE REALLY EXCITED TO SEE THE FALL, WINTER, AND MOST RECENTLY, SPRING DIAGNOSTIC TODAY TO SEE [00:40:03] WHAT POWERFUL GROWTH IS MOVING UPWARDS, IN THIS CASE, AND EVERY STUDENT OVERALL DEFERRED THE WINTER TO THE SPRING. WE WERE ACTUALLY REALLY EXCITED TODAY TO HAVE PRINCIPLES WITH OUR PARTNERS. THIS IS LOOKING DEEPER TO CONNECT THAT DATA , AND YOU CAN USE THIS TOOL MORE POWERFULLY . AS A REMINDER , THIS IS A NOTE FOR STUDENTS WHO PLACED A LOT OF THE RATES . SO, FOR A THIRD GRADE STUDENT, THIS WOULD BE A THIRD GRADE LEVEL IN THE SPRING. SIMILARLY FOR MATH, AGAIN, WE ARE SEEING THE GROWTH THAT WE KNOW . SOME OF OUR AREAS, WE STILL HAVE WORK TO DO, BUT THE CONVERSATIONS WE ARE HAVING OUR SCHOOLS WITH THOSE TOOLS, THOSE ARE ALL DESIGNED TO REALLY HIGHLIGHT WHERE WE WANT THE STUDENTS TO BE AT THIS TIME. BUT IF WE ARE MOVING FORWARD AND EVERY NEXT POINT, THEN WE HAVE ENOUGH GROUND THAT WE NEED THEM TO COVER IF THEY ARE NOT ON GRADE LEVEL NOW. AGAIN, IN BOTH OF THESE INSTANCES , WE EVALUATE OUR TARGETS. THIS IS A SUPER CHANCE AS WELL, BECAUSE WE ARE SEEING POSITIVE GROWTH. THE NEXT SIX SLIDES ARE LOOKING AT VITALITY RESULTS. THIS IS PERCEPTIONS OF SAFETY AND CONNECTEDNESS. THIS EXTENDS FROM PAST DPR'S. IN THIS INSTANCE, USING THE MOST RECENT RESULTS OF FOUR, EIGHT, AND 11 FOR SAFETY. I WILL NECESSARILY SPEAK EXTENSIVELY ON ALL THE SLIDES, BUT I WILL SHOW YOU AN EXAMPLE. IF YOU CROSS A SUMMATION , WE HAVE SOME INSTANCES WHERE RECEIVE SOME GROWTH, SOME INSTANCES WHERE HE SEE A SLIGHT DIP, AND SOME INSTANCES WHERE HE HELD STEADY. ALL OF THAT IS STILL IN THAT BID TOO HIGH '80S RANGE . THE LONG-TERM IS 95. SO, WE STILL HAVE WORK TO DO. WE SEE THAT THE VAST MAJORITY OF STUDENTS ARE IDENTIFYING A POSITIVE ZONE. WE WILL CYCLE THROUGH PAPAS BRIEFLY SO THERE IS TIME FOR THE NEXT FIVE SLIDES AFTER THIS ONE. MAYBE THIS IS A GOOD OPPORTUNITY IS TO HIGHLIGHT THAT THERE ARE BOXES OF THE POINT OF HIGHLIGHT IN OUR PREVIOUS POINT TO OUR CURRENT POINT. I WILL NOTICE WE ARE GOING THROUGH, THIS IS SHOWING SPRING, TO SPRING, TO SPRING. THIS ALSO SHOWS FALL, TO FALL, TO FALL. IT IS POTENTIALLY SHOWING THAT EXTENSIVE TRACK RECORD IN THE FALL AND SPRING IN THE FUTURE. OKAY, AND THESE NEXT TWO SLIDES ARE WRAPPING UP ON GRADE 11. THERE IS A DIP, AND WE KNOW THAT THERE IS WORK TO DO. WE ALSO SAW SOME GOOD PICK UP IN THOSE AREAS THAT WAS INTERESTING. I WOULD OFFER AT THIS POINT AS WELL THE VITALITY TO THE OTHER DATA THAT REALLY IS ANOTHER TOOL AS WELL. NUMBERS OF THE HEART TEAM THAT YOU JUST HEARD ARE SOCIAL WORKERS, COUNSELORS, AND OTHER STAFF SO WHEN HE STUDENT SHOWS ELEVATED LEVELS , WE CAN OFFER THEM IMMEDIATE REAL-TIME DATA FOR THE LONG-TERM TRENDS. SO, ONE OF OUR NEW METRICS THAT WE FIRST SHOW IN THE FALL IS A PAGE , WHAT WE ARE ABLE TO BRING BACK TO NOW IS AN ACTUAL DATA POINT FOR THE POINTS. THIS IS ONE AREA PUT A NOTE IN OUR THEORIES PIECES IN THE DPR THAT WE WAIT FIRST TO CAPTURE THIS ONE, BECAUSE WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE ARE VOLUNTEERING TO ALL OF OUR REPORTS, AND WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE ARE COMING FROM THAT MAXIMUM ACCURACY. MAY 1ST, WE WILL CAPTURE THIS POINT , AND YOU WILL SEE THAT WE ARE ABLE TO MAINTAIN THAT 36% . FOR OUR NINE THROUGH 12, WE SAW A RAISE OF 30%. SO, A LOT OF WHAT YOU HAVE HEARD ABOUT IN OUR PRESENTATION SHOWS THAT ATTACHMENT L.E.A.P.. A LOT OF US HAVE ATHLETIC OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR STUDENTS. IN THIS CASE, AGAIN, IT'S GREEN BOXES ACROSS THE BOARD. LAST BUT NOT LEAST , OUR TWO INTERNAL CALCULATIONS OF WHERE WE SEE OURSELVES ENDING UP AT OUR DASHBOARD FOR OUR FIRST STATE REPORTS. AS WAS [00:45:02] NOTED, WE WOULD NEVER REPRESENT, THIS IS OFFICIAL DATA , BUT THIS IS WHAT I BELIEVE WILL BE RELATIVELY CLOSE TO FINAL DATA. WE ARE EXCITED TO SEE A POSITIVE INCREASE. WE HAVE BEEN TRACKING THIS ALL YEAR , AND THIS IS A HUGE PART OF THE WORK THAT WE HAVE GONE UP FOR ALL THE WORK THAT WE HAVE TALKED ABOUT ANOTHER PRESENTATIONS. THAT DIRECTED OUTREACH FROM SCHOOLS AS WELL AS ITS ARE TOOLS WE ARE USING. YOU CAN SEE WE ARE SEEING SOME POSITIVE MOVEMENT , AND THAT HAS BEEN REALLY EXCITING. IT DOES ADD TO THE DECENT AMOUNT OF ATTENDANCE IN THE SPACE. AS A REMINDER, CHRONIC EMPHASIS CYCLES WERE THE DAYS ATTENDED . SO, WE ARE LOOKING AT THAT INSTANCE OF THE COMMUNITY FOR THE STATE IN TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, OUR SUSPENSION RATES , WE ARE REALLY EXCITED AND ANTICIPATING JUST TO OVERALL SEE WHAT YOU DROPPED. WE BEEN TRYING TO DO THIS ALL YOUR WHERE INDIVIDUAL SCHOOLS HAVE MADE PROGRESS. THIS IS SOMETHING WE LOOK FORWARD TO SHARING WHAT I SEE THE DASHBOARD COME OUT. THE RE-LEASING THAT DECREASE ACROSS MOST OF OUR BOARDS, WE KNEW THIS WAS SOMETHING WHERE EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS. WE STILL HAVE TO GET MUCH LOWER, AND THAT IS A LONG-TERM GOAL, WE ARE SEEING US REVERSING THE POSITIVE DIRECTION. >> OKAY. THIS IS IN DIGITAL FORMAT. IT WILL BE POSTED ON OUR WEBPAGE THAT HAS ALL OF OUR PRIOR PRESENTATIONS. WE WILL CONTINUE TO WORK ON THOSE RESULTS. THAT WILL BE COMING FROM THE SUMMER INTO THE FALL. SO, THAT WILL LEAD TO OUR NEXT DVR. AS STEVEN TALKED ABOUT, WE'LL HAVE TO RE-EVALUATE SOME OF OUR PROCESSES WHILE WE ARE MEETING THOSE. IN THE PAST, WE HAVE PRINTED OUT THE DER IN PHYSICAL BOOKS. THAT'S SOMETHING THAT CAN BE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST, BUT WE ARE REALLY HOPING TO KEEP IT IN DIGITAL FORMAT WHERE YOU CAN INTERACT WITH METRICS. AGAIN, IT'S ALWAYS AVAILABLE ONLINE WHEN YOU REQUEST OUR COPY. QUESTIONS? >> I JUST WANT TO CHIME IN. I THERE IS A LOT TO CELEBRATE, OBVIOUSLY. I JUST WANT TO RECOGNIZE THAT THERE ARE SOME OPPORTUNITY AREAS, RIGHT? ONE THING THAT I AM PROUD OF IS SHARING DATA, AS WE SAY. WE TAKE THE SMALL BITS AND PIECES BECAUSE WE WILL ALWAYS DO TO PROGRESS, BUT WE ARE JUST VERY AWARE OF THE PUBLIC. THEY EXPECT MORE, CHILDREN EXPECT MORE, WE EXPECT MORE, AND WE, AS TRUSTEES, EXPECT MORE , AND WE ARE WILLING TO HELP OUR COMMUNITY DO THAT. THANK YOU. >> TRUSTEE DOSICK? >> MICAH TOOK OFF OF MY THUNDER. THAT IS FINE. WHAT HE SAID. BUT ALSO , AND WHY THE BOTH OF YOUR APPEAR. WHEN WE START REPORTING NEXT YEAR , THINKING SPECIFICALLY ABOUT THE I-READY DATA , TO THE EXTENT THAT WE HAVE IN OUR SYSTEM, WHICH I THINK WE DO, I THINK IT WOULD BE VERY INTERESTING, OR AT LEAST THE NEW ILLUMINATING TO SEE THE TREND LINES FOR EACH OF THE SUBGROUPS IF WE BREAK OUT THOSE WITH THE DISTRICT IN THE YEAR PRIOR VERSUS THOSE THAT WERE NEW IN THE DISTRICT. THAT WE CAN START SEEING THE LONGITUDINAL IMPACTS OF OUR EFFORTS ON MEETING THOSE TARGETS. >> TRUSTEE MORA? >> I AGREE WITH ALL OF THE COMPONENTRY COMMENTS . ONE THING THAT HONED IN ON ME WAS ANOTHER HIGH IMPACT, YOU KNOW, PRACTICE FOR STUDENTS ACROSS THE DISTRICT. IN ADDITION TO ATHLETICS , YOU KNOW, WE FOLLOW THE ARTS . THIS WILL BE SOMETHING THAT WE HOPEFULLY RECEIVE, YOU KNOW, TO THROW THOSE PROGRAMS OUT , AND PROGRAMS WE ALREADY HAVE ACROSS THE FISCAL SITES. I JUST WANTED, YOU KNOW, IF IT MIGHT BE INTERESTING TO INCLUDE SOME OF THOSE NUMBERS, BECAUSE I THINK IT IS KIND OF THE SECOND-BIGGEST, YOU KNOW, STUDENT ENGAGEMENT CATEGORY IN ADDITION TO ALL OF OUR ATHLETICS. THAT IS SOMETHING THAT CAME TO ME RIGHT NOW. >> ANY OTHER COMMENTS? >> SO, I AGREE WITH ALL OF MY OTHER FELLOW TRUSTEES ON THE MAJORITY OF WHAT I WAS THINKING. I THINK THE ONLY THING THAT WAS LEFT OUT AS WE DO ALL OF OUR THINGS TO RESPECT BETTER. PLEASE CONTINUE TO HOLD US ACCOUNTABLE. THERE IS A LOT [00:50:02] TO CELEBRATE , AND THERE IS MORE THAN JUST THE FAVORITES. >> THANK YOU. THANK YOU, BOTH, FOR THIS INFORMATION. [XV.a. NUSD Local Plan Public Hearing ] >> THANK YOU. >> THANK YOU. >> MOVING ONTO THE NEXT ITEM, MOVING ON TO PUBLIC HEARING. SO, I WOULD LIKE TO NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE NUSD LOCAL PLAN . THIS IS NOT A PRESENTATION. THERE IS NO PRESENTATION FOR THIS ITEM , BUT STAFF IS AVAILABLE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS . TO THE TRUSTEES HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS? ALL RIGHT. THIS NO PUBLIC COMMENT CARDS. >> MOVED TO CLOSE. >> SECOND. >> OKAY, TRUSTEE DOSICK, SECONDED BY TRUSTEE GRANT. CAN YOU CALL THE ROL? >> TRUSTEE DOSICK? >> AYE. >> TRUSTEE HARDEN? 13 >> TRUSTEE MORA? >> AYE. >> PRESIDENT HEREDIA? 13 >> TRUSTEE GRANT? >> AYE. THAT MOVES 5-0. THE [XV.b. I WOULD NOW LIKE TO PUT OPEN THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE PUBLIC DISCLOSURE BETWEEN NATOMAS UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT IN NATOMAS TEACHER ASSOCIATION. AS REQUIRED BY A.B. 1200. I WOULD NOW LIKE TO OPEN THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE DRAFT 2024-25 LOCAL CONTROL AND ACCOUNTABILITY PLAN, KNOWN AS LDAP , AS PART OF THE 2024-2027 THE BEATTY SUPERINTENDENT ON THIS ITEM. >> GOOD EVENING . AS PRESENTED BEFORE YOU, THIS IS THE PUBLIC HEARING IS REQUIRED BY LAW FOR THE EDUCATION CODE ON THE MANUAL ITEM. THIS IS PRESENTING LCAP. AS A REMINDER TO TRUSTEES IN THE PUBLIC, THIS IS A THREE-YEAR PROCESS. THIS IS A NEW THREE-YEAR PROCESS , AND YOU CAN SEE THERE, IT COMMUNICATED LOCALLY DEFINED GOALS, ACTIONS, AND SERVICES TO ACHIEVE THESE GOALS, EXPENDITURES ASSOCIATED WITH THOSE WILD ACTIONS AND SERVICES, THAT TARGET THE CENTER PROGRESS OF THOSE ACTIONS AND SERVICES. LCAP WAS DEVELOPED BASED ON THE BOARD APPROVED DISTRICT FIVE GOALS, AND YOU CAN SEE THE LYMAN ON THE LEFT SIDE FOR GOAL ONE TO THE LYMAN ON THE RIGHT SIDE, WHICH IS THE STATE REQUIRED L CFF PRIORITIES. THERE ARE EIGHT OF THEM. SO, GOAL ONE ALIGNS TO SAY PARTIES ONE, TWO, FOUR, SEVEN, AND EIGHT THAT IS REQUIRED OF EVERY CALIFORNIA SCHOOL DISTRICT TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE LCAP CONTAINS THESE PRIORITIES. THERE ARE AREAS ASSOCIATED WITH GLOBAL ONE, WHICH IS THE GOALS, ACTIONS, AND SERVICES AS INDICATED IN THE DRAFT. MOVING FAIRLY QUICK HERE TO KILL TWO, LEFT TO RIGHT, SAME CONCEPT THAT WILL COVER FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, AND EIGHT OF THE STATE PRIORITIES. AND THEN, LOCAL KEY AREAS ARE INDICATED ON THIS PARTICULAR SLIDE. SLIDE THREE, LEFT TO RIGHT, SAME CONCEPT , HOW TO OUR BOARD APPROVE GOALS ALIGN WITH STATE PRIORITIES AND THE KEY AREAS? GOAL FOUR, VERY SIMILAR. AND THEN GOAL FIVE, HOW TO SCHOOL FIVE ALIGN TO STATE PRIORITIES ? THIS CASE, PRIORITY ONE WHERE YOU HAVE BUDGET BASEMAN SERVICES. AND THE KEY AREAS INCLUDE THOSE NOTED THERE. FOR THE DRAFT, LCAP WAS POSTED ON THE DISTRICT WEBSITE AT THE END OF APRIL ON APRIL 26. SO, THERE IS SUFFICIENT AND ADEQUATE TIME FOR THE PUBLIC TO REVIEW MY FEEDBACK AND COMMENT ON THE LISTING IS A REVIEW THOSE DOCUMENTS. TODAY, WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY ONLINE FEEDBACK THAT HAS GONE THROUGH SEVERAL MEETINGS , INCLUDING THE LCAP ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR THE ENGLISH WHICH ADVISORY COMMITTEE . SUPERINTENDENT PARENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE WERE ALSO CONSULTED REGARDING THE DRAFT OF LCAP. THE POSTED LCAP REQUIRES THE COMPONENTS AS SET FORTH BY THE STATE. YOU CAN SEE [00:55:05] THAT THEY ARE LISTED THERE, STARTING WITH A BUDGET OVERVIEW FOR PARENTS ALL THE WAY DOWN TO MAKING SURE THOSE CONSTRUCTIONS ARE INCLUDED IN THE POSTING OF THE LCAP. THIS YEAR, BECAUSE THE DISTRICT RECEIVES EQUITY MULTIPLIER FUNDS , THERE ARE TWO NEW GOALS. GOAL SIX AND SEVEN. WHILE THEY ARE NOT PART OF BOARD POLICY, THEY ARE PART OF THE GOALS AND ACTION SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH THE MULTIPLIER , AS PRESENTED AT THE LAST MEETING. WHAT YOU WILL SEE NEW THIS YEAR AS WELL IN ADDITION TO THE EQUITY MULTIPLIER IS, AS ARE PRESENTED EARLIER , AND ACTION RELATED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE LAUNCHING CENTER. OUR CONTINUANCE OF THE COLLEGE APPLICATION FEE FOR STUDENTS IS PAID IN THAT SAME STRUCTURE THAT WE HAVEN'T CEMENTED THIS YEAR. AND THEN, EQUITY MULTIPLY RULES AND ACTIONS . SO, OUR NEXT STEPS INCLUDE A MORE DETAILED AND SPECIFIC SPANISH TRANSITION THAT IS CURRENTLY POSTED ONLINE IN SPANISH, THAT HAS ALSO GONE THROUGH GOOGLE TRANSLATE. WE WILL LOOK AT THAT AND REFINE THAT AS WE MOVE FORWARD, AND THEN, WILL PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL WRITTEN RESPONSE IS REQUIRED BY LAW TO THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE AS WELL. THOSE WILL BE POSTED BY JUNE 4TH AND GET IT TO THOSE COMMUNITIES. IF THERE IS ANY ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK, THEY WILL REQUIRE THAT AS WELL. AND THEN, YOU CAN SEE THE REST OF THE TIMELINES HERE. THIS WILL BE PRESENTED FOR FORMAL ACTION FOR TRUSTEES ON JUNE 26. SO, THERE MAY BE SOME MINOR MODIFICATIONS AND MAKING SURE THERE IS PREPARATION FOR THE FINAL DOCUMENT. >> I HAVE ONE PUBLIC COMMENT . WHAT WE WILL DO IS WE WILL DO QUESTIONS. >> JUST A RECOMMENDATION PERHAPS ON WHAT WE CAN DO FOR ONLINE PARTICIPATION. IF I HEARD CORRECTLY, IT SAID THERE WERE NO COMMENTS? >> NO DIGITAL COMMENTS ON THE POSTED LCAP. WE HAD A LOT OF CONVERSATIONS IN COMMENTS AND MEETINGS. THEY WERE IN PERSON. >> THANK YOU. >> I WILL SAY WE DID EXTENSIVE OUTREACH. SO, THAT IS WHAT WE DID NOT CATCH AS MUCH IN THE COMMENT. IT WAS POSTED BECAUSE ALL OF IT WAS PROCESSED AND PRESENTED TO ALL OF OUR GROUPS. >> THANK YOU. >> ANY OTHER COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS FROM BOARD MEMBERS? TRUSTEE DOSICK? ALL RIGHT. I HAVE ONE ABOUT THE MULTIPLIER. I WILL MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. I JUST WANT TO KNOW A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT THE ADDITIONAL RULES. THANK YOU. >> THE ONE PUBLIC COMMENT THAT WE HAVE IS FROM SHARON BURR ME. YOU HAVE REQUESTED TO SPEAK? >> JUST TO BE CLEAR, THIS IS IN REFERENCE TO LCAP? >> YES. >> ON BEHALF OF A LOT APPEARANCE WHO MAY NOT HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY , TIME, AND ENERGY TO READ THROUGH THE 176 PAGE REPORT , I AM HERE TO REQUEST A CONDENSED VERSION IN LAYMAN'S TERMS THAT MIGHT BE MORE MORE CONDUCIVE FOR PARENTS TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IT IS THAT THEY ARE READING. AS I SKIMMED THROUGH A PORTION OF IT, MAYBE THE FIRST 39 PAGES, I DO COME ACROSS A FEW ITEMS WHERE I HAVE QUESTIONS, AND I WILL BE SURE TO SUBMIT THOSE IN WRITING ONLINE SO THAT THERE CAN BE A RESPONSE GIVEN. THINGS LIKE IT. THAT OUR DISTRICT IS REACHING THE GOAL OF HAVING 11 A THROUGH G UNITS AS A MINIMUM , BUT I THOUGHT THE MINIMUM WAS 15. THERE ARE REFERENCES TO TULSA NOT BEING AVAILABLE JUST BECAUSE OF THE SHORTAGE OF TEASERS. SO, WHEN I SEE THE EQUITY MULTIPLIER WANTING TO EMPLOY THAT, IT MAKES ME WONDER HOW THAT WILL WONDER IF WE HAVE ENOUGH TO FILL THE REQUIREMENT FROM EARLIER. SO, MY MAJOR REQUEST IS THAT THE CONDENSED VERSION IS FAR SHORTER THAN THE 176 PAGES BEING PRODUCED OR SUMMARIZED , MAYBE IN A VIDEO, BILL, THAT YOU CAN DO FOR PARENTS THAT CAN MAKE IT EASIER FOR US TO UNDERSTAND AND RESPOND. THANK YOU. >> THANK YOU. AT THIS POINT, I AM LOOKING FOR A -- >> I MOVED TO CLOSE. >> OKAY, TRUSTEE DOSICK. YOU READ MY MIND. >> SECOND. >> WILL YOU CALL THE ROLE, [01:00:02] PLEASE? >> TRUSTEE DOSICK? >> AYE. >> TRUSTEE GRANT? >> AYE. >> TRUSTEE HARDEN? >> AYE. >> PRESIDENT HEREDIA? 13 >> TRUSTEE MORA? >> AYE. >> ALL RIGHT. THAT MOTION PASSES 5-0. BILL, THANK YOU FOR [XV.d. 2024-25 Proposed Budget ] THAT PRESENTATION. I KNOW YOU'RE UP ON THE NEXT ONE HERE TOO. SO, I WOULD NOW LIKE TO OPEN THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE 2024-2025 PROPOSED BUDGET . DEPUTY SUPERINTENDENT BILL YOUNG WILL ALSO PRESENT ON THIS ITEM. >> OKAY. IS REQUIRED BY LAW, A PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE BOARD ACTION IS TO TAKE THIS. THIS IS THE PUBLIC BOARD HEARING. THE PUBLIC ACTION WILL TAKE PLACE ON JUNE 26. THIS DOCUMENT WAS POSTED AND AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC REVIEW AS WELL FOR THE ENTIRE BUDGET. WE SURE SOMEBODY HIGHLIGHT AND ASSUMPTIONS, WE WILL EXPEND SOME REVIEWS EXPENDITURE SET UP AND RESERVED, AND THEN A MULTI-YOUR PRODUCTION TO MOVE FORWARD. SO, AS WE LOOK AT THE CONTINUOUS CYCLE OF THE DEVELOPMENT , IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT, THAT MAY DIGITALIZE A TIMEFRAME . WE TALKED ABOUT THE GOVERNOR'S MAY REVISION. WE JUST RECEIVED AN UPDATE ON THE DISTRICT PROJECT REPORT, WE HOPE THE PUBLIC HEARING , AND NOW, THIS IS THE MOMENT FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE BUDGET. SO, WHILE THE BUDGET DOES NOT REQUIRE A CERTIFICATION, I AM FAMILIAR WITH YOU ALL . THIS IS BEEN DEVELOPED FOR A POSITIVE CERTIFICATION, MEANING WE CAN MEET NEXT YEAR'S FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS THROUGH 2 1/2 YEARS AS WELL. THIS INCLUDES A 3% RESERVE FOR THE ECONOMIC RESERVE BASE. THIS IS PROTECTED AT 11,278 . THIS IS BEEN AN INCREASE OF 100 STUDENTS AROUND THIS YEAR AND NEXT YEAR. OUR ATTENDANCE IS RECOMMENDED AND REPORTED AT 92.6%. IF THAT INCREASES, YOU'LL SEE SOME ADJUSTMENTS FOR REPORTS IN THE FUTURE. THE ACCOUNT THAT IS A FACTOR FOR DEVELOPMENT IS AT 68.54%. EARLIER THIS YEAR, I PRESENTED A COLLATION AT ONE .07%, AND THAT IS THE FACTOR USED IN DEVELOPING NEXT YEAR'S 2024-2025 BUDGET. YOU CAN SEE THE OTHER FACTORS THAT WERE USED IN THE DEVELOPING OF THIS PARTICULAR BUDGET. THIS MOVES FIVE THINGS YOU GENERAL FUND, AND IN SIMILAR FOR FIVE OTHER ACTIONS FOR OUR INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY STAFF. THIS ALSO INCLUDES A $500,000.00 PUBLICATION CONTRIBUTION TO THE ACCOUNT OF THE RECOGNITION THAT YOU WILL SEE ON JUNE 26 FOR APPROVAL OF THAT BUDGET. THIS INCLUDES THE PROPOSED THREE AND HALF PERCENT INCREASE IN THE 1 1/2% ONE TIME SCHEDULE ON ACTION ITEMS LATER TONIGHT FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION. WE ARE LOOKING AT REVENUES OF ABOUT $198,900,000.00. YOU CAN SEE VARIOUS SOURCES. THE BIGGEST SOURCE IS LOCAL FUNDING FORMULAS. RIGHT NOW, WE ARE 80% STAFFING COST FOR A ONE TIME COST, AND YOU CAN SEE THE BREAKOUT OF HOW THE BUDGET IS BROKEN INTO. 13% OPERATING EXPENDITURES , AND THEN, AS I MENTIONED, 82% STAFF REPORTS. THIS PARTICULAR TABLE, YOU SEE THE PROTECTED GENERAL FUND WIZARD FOR JUNE 20TH, 2025, AND THIS WILL BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THESE WILL BE UPDATED AT THE INTERIM REPORTS AS WELL. THE RECOMMENDATION YOU WILL ALSO SEE IS COMMITTED TO ANY FUND BALANCE AT THE END OF THIS MONTH AS WELL. YOU CAN SEE PLANNING FOR SCIENCE TEXT BOOK ADOPTIONS IN YOUR FIVE OF EIGHT. WE WILL HAVE ENOUGH FUNDING TO COVER THAT OVER THE EIGHT YEAR CYCLE. WE ARE AT THE PENSION STABLE ACCOUNT. ATHLETIC FIELDS , THE HIGH SCHOOL GEOTHERMAL REPLACEMENT , WE'LL HAVE FUNDING AVAILABLE TO COVER THE PARTICULAR [01:05:02] PROJECT. THERE IS ALSO RECOGNITION THERE AS WELL. WHAT DO OUR ENROLLMENT DEVIATIONS LOOK LIKE? FROM LEFT TO RIGHT, YOU CAN SEE FROM 2012 ALL THE WAY OUT PROJECTED TO 2026 AND 2027. THE BLUE LINE INDICATES ENROLLMENT AND ENROLLMENT GROWTH. IS A GOOD POSITION TO BE IN . THE CALIFORNIA SCHOOL DISTRICTS ARE IN A GROWTH MODE AT THIS POINT. JUST PLANNING FACTOR RATES AS WE LOOK INTO THE OUT YEARS FOR THIS CURRENT YEAR OVER THE NEXT THREE YEARS, THERE IS A COST-OF-LIVING AT ONE .07% , OR FORECASTING AT LEAST THE INFORMATION THAT WE ARE RECEIVING. AND THAT INCREASING FROM THAT POINT FORWARD. -- A LOT OF INFORMATION ON THIS PARTICULAR SLIDE. WE DO SHOW THAT A $6,400,000.00 DEFICIT , FIVE-POINT SIXES WANT TO MIX MANAGERS. WHICH, THREE FISCAL RESPONSE ABILITY, WE HAVE A RESERVE TO COVER THAT. WE ARE MONITORING WITH THE STATE BUDGET WILL LOOK LIKE WHEN IT IS FINALLY ADOPTED, AND ALL THAT INFORMATION WILL BE SHARED WITH YOU IN THE FUTURE AS WE MOVE FORWARD. AND THERE IS A FURTHER EXPLANATION OF WHAT I JUST SHARED. EVEN MORE DETAIL , THEN, AS WE MOVE FORWARD, JUNE 26, THIS BUDGET WILL BE PRESENTED FOR YOU FOR CONSIDERATION AND ADOPTION , ALONG WITH LCAP, AND THEN IN SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER, WILL ACTUALLY BE PRESENTING THE COLLUSION OF BOOKS FOR 2023-2024 , AND THEN COME DECEMBER , THIS IS THE MONTH OF THE YEAR WERE YOU SEE FOUR BUT IT'S . LAST YEAR WILL BE 2023-2024 , AND THEN TWO OTHERS. I WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. >> YOU DID SUCH A GREAT JOB WITH PORK MEDICATIONS. >> THANK YOU. >> >> THANK YOU. >> AND THERE ARE NO PUBLIC COMMENT CARDS TO SPEAK ON THIS BILL. >> MOVED TO CLOSE! >> SECOND. >> ALL RIGHT. MOVED BY TRUSTEE DOSICK, SECONDED BY TRUSTEE GRANT. WE ARE NOW CLOSING THE PUBLIC HEARING. PLEASE CALL THE ROLE? >> TRUSTEE DOSICK? 13 >> TRUSTEE GRANT? >> AYE. >> TRUSTEE HARDEN? >> AYE. >> PRESIDENT HEREDIA? >> AYE. >> TRUSTEE GRANT >> AYE. >> TRUSTEE RODRIGUEZ? SORRY. >> OH! THAT'S ALL RIGHT. [XVI.a. Present and Approve the Forward 5 Strategic Plan ] MOVING ONTO ACTION ITEMS. THAT MOTION PASSES 6-0. ACTION ITEM A. PRESENTED APPROVE THE FORWARD FIVE STRATEGIC PLAN. THIS ITEM WILL BE CHRISTINA , OR SO I THOUGHT. >> SHE IS ASSISTING WITH THE SLIDES. >> OKAY, I WAS THINKING WAS SOMETHING WRONG ON MY PAPER? AND WE HAVE PUBLIC COMMENT FOR THIS? NO. [01:10:03] >> ALL RIGHT. WELL, I AM VERY EXCITED TO BE PRESENTING ON OUR FORWARD FIVE STRATEGIC PLAN . THIS IS EXCITING FORWARD FOR US. THE DIRECTION IS OUR GOALS AND OBJECTIVES. SO TODAY, WE REVIEW THE PRIOR APPROVAL OF THE FIVE STRATEGIC PLANS AND SUMMARIZE SOME OF THE EDUCATIONAL PARTS FOR ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES THAT WE'VE HAD , PRESENT THE PLANE ITSELF , AND THEN REQUEST BOARD APPROVAL FOR OUR STRATEGIC PLANS. SO, OUR STRATEGIC PLAN IS REALLY IMPORTANT FOR US, BECAUSE IT IS A GUIDE FOR ALL OF OUR WORK , INCLUDING OUR LCAP, OUR DIGIT BUDGET PRIORITIES, AND OUR DISTRICT INITIATIVES. SO, WHEN WE DO OUR WORK, WE SURROUND IT AROUND OUR VISION FOR VALUES AND OUR GOALS. SO, HERE ARE SOME OF THE PRIOR APPROVED ELEMENTS . THE TRUSTEES APPROVED OUR JANUARY 19TH, 2022 SO THAT THE PROCESS ACTUALLY STARTED A WHILE BACK. THEN THE CORE VALUES ARE APPROVED FOR VERY NINTH, 2022 , AND THEN, JUST AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SCHOOL YEAR, THE BOARD APPROVED OUR DISTRICT GOALS. SO, OUR NEW FIVE GOALS WE HAVE BEEN OPERATING OFF OF THIS YEAR. WHEN USING OUR DISTRICT ACTIONS AND SERVICES, WE IDENTIFIED THE AREAS OF PRIORITY, AND YOU CAN SEE THE GOLD GOLD TEXT UNDERNEATH WHOLE ONE. THE ITALICIZE STATEMENT FOR EACH PRIORITY PROVIDES A BROAD STATEMENT FOR OUR ACTIONS MOVE US TOWARDS MEETING THESE PRIORITIES IN OUR GOALS. THE ACTIONS AND SERVICES FURTHER DESCRIBED HOW WE WORK TO ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS. YOU WILL SEE A DISTINCT ALIGNMENT BETWEEN OUR STRATEGIC PLAN AND THE LCAP. SO, FOR GOAL ONE, THIS IS THE GOAL IN THE PRIORITY AREAS OF FOCUS. AND WE WILL GO THROUGH THE OTHER GOALS. HERE IS TWO, THE SAME THING. YOU CAN TAKE A LOOK AT THE TOP. THE PRIORITIES LISTED BELOW WITH THE STATEMENT OF OUR GOALS, LIKE WE SAID, THE LCAP LOOKS AT HOW WE ACCOMPLISH THOSE GOALS. AND THEN, GOAL THREE FOR A SAFE, ENGAGING ENVIRONMENT WHERE STUDENTS CONNECT TO SCHOOL PRIORITY AREAS THERE. GOAL FOUR IS IMPORTANT. IS TO ENGAGE OUR PARENTS AND FAMILIES TO SUPPORT STUDENT SUCCESS. YOU WILL SEE IN ALL FIVE GOALS, A COMMON GRID OF THE STATEMENT OF CONCLUSION OF OUR ORAL OUR GOALS. THAT IS THE LENS FOR EVERYTHING THAT WE DO. AND THEN, OUR LAST GOAL IS REHIRE, TRAIN, AND RETAIN HIGH QUALITY STAFF . YOU CAN SEE THE HIRING AND RECRUITING THAT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. AGAIN, OUR DEI WORK, OUR RESOURCES,IT'S VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE STAFF AND THE WORK THAT THEY DO. SO, WE'LL TALK A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE EDUCATION AND PARTNER ENGAGEMENT THAT WE HAVE DONE. SO, INPUT FOR OUR EDUCATIONAL PARTNERS IS A CRITICAL COMPONENT TO THE WORK THAT WE DO. MOVING FORWARD WITH THESE PRIORITIES AND ACTIONS TO ACHIEVE THE DISTRICTS GOAL. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, WE HAVE INTENSELY ENGAGED OUR EDUCATIONAL PARTNERS. THE FEEDBACK GATHERED HELP TO DEVELOP THE STRATEGIC PLAN, AS WELL AS OUR LOCAL CONTROL ACCOUNT ABILITY PLAN , OR LCAP, WHICH IS ALIGNED TO OUR STRATEGIC PLAN. SO, YOU CAN SEE THINGS WE DID WITH OUR FAMILIES AND THE COMMUNITY WITH REGIONAL ENGAGEMENT EVENTS . YOU CAN SEE IT FIRE THERE IN THE RATE FOR DIVERSE ENGAGEMENT EVENTS, PARENT GUARDIAN ADVISORY COMMITTEES AND COUNCILS , SCHOOL SITE ENGAGEMENTS, AS WELL AS SURVEYS , VIDEOS, AND PODCASTS. AND THEN IT'S ALSO VERY KEY FOR US TO HEAR THE VOICES OF OUR STUDENTS. NOT ONLY DO WE SEEK TO HEAR FROM OUR PARENTS, FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITY, BUT ALSO FROM OUR STUDENTS. SO, THROUGH OUR STUDENT VOICES, OUR ADVISORY COUNCILS, AND OTHER STUDENT ENGAGEMENTS. THIS IS A TIMELINE WHERE YOU CAN SEE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR OUR OUTREACH AND TENSES WITH THE EDUCATIONAL PARTNER MEETINGS. YOU WILL SEE THIS SAME GROUP, HERE OUR PRINCIPLES, COUNSELORS AND MINISTRY DOES, OUR SPECIAL EDUCATION COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE , SUPERINTENDENTS ADVISORY COUNCIL, THE FIRST PARENT FOCUS GROUPS , LABOR PARTNERS, OUR STUDENT VOICES, OUR DISTRICT ENGLISH ADVISORY COMMITTEE , AND ALL STAFF PROFESSIONAL THE VELTMAN DAYS BRINGING TO OUR STAFF. YOU WILL SEE THAT, MULTIPLE TIMES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. WE KICKED OFF THE SURVEYS TO OUR FAMILIES TO GET SOME DIRECTION AND PRIORITIES OF WHERE HE WANTED [01:15:03] TO GO. IN OCTOBER, WE FORMED OUR LCAP PARENT ADVISORY COUNCIL TO HELP WITH THAT MEETING, AND WE CREATED INDUSTRY NEEDED FORTIFY VIDEOS, ONE FREE SCHOOL TO HELP TO TELL OUR STORY AND UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING. IN NOVEMBER, WE SENT OUT SOME DEEPER DIVE SURVEYS TO GET MORE INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT WE HEARD IN SEPTEMBER, AND TO ANSWER, YOU KNOW, LOOK TO SEEK MORE FEEDBACK WITH SOME LINGERING QUESTIONS. ONE THING I'M VERY PROUD OF IS THE INTENTIONAL PHONE BANKING, AND THIS WAS TO REACH OUT TO OUR UNDER A PRESENTED GROUPS. SO, PERSONAL PHONE CALLS WERE MADE TO HELP FAMILIES COMPLETE THE SURVEYS TO MAKE SURE THAT WE HAD A DIVERSE REPRESENTATION , AND NOT JUST WAITING FOR PEOPLE TO RESPOND TO SURVEYS, BUT TO ACTUALLY REACH OUT TO THEM. JANUARY WERE OUR REGIONAL MEETINGS. WE HAD TWO IN PERSON AND ONE VIRTUAL. THAT COVERED BOTH THE STRATEGIC PLAN IT AND LCAP. IN FEBRUARY, WE HAD A BOARD PRESENTATION TO UPDATE YOU ON THE MIDYEAR LCAP IN OUR UPDATE. YOU CAN SEE THE SAME GROUPS THAT WERE INITIALLY ENGAGED THAT MET AGAIN IN FEBRUARY TO LOOK AT THE DATA WE HAD RECEIVED, AND TO GIVE SOME INPUT. AND THEN IN MARCH, WE DUDE OUR ANNUAL SURVEYS. YOU CAN SEE STUDENTS AND SENIORS TO SEE WHAT THEIR EXPERIENCES WERE AS THEY ARE EXITING OUR SYSTEM, AND ALSO, AN ANNUAL STAFF SURVEY. APRIL, BILL JUST TALKED ABOUT DRAFTING THE LCAP, SO WAS PUBLICLY POSTED , AND WE ALSO SENT A LINK DIRECTLY TO OUR PARENT ADVISORY COMMITTEES SO THAT THEY COULD ACCESS IT MORE EASILY. AND AGAIN IN MAY, WE HAD THE MEETINGS WITH THE SAME GROUPS. THIS IS WHERE WE HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO PRESENT AND DISCUSS EVERYTHING THAT IS INCLUDED. YOU CAN SEE A STAR FOR TONIGHT, WE HAVE THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE LCAP AND FOR OUR STATE BUDGET, AND THEN APPROVAL WITH THE FORD FIVE STRATEGIC PLAN. AND THEN IN JUNE , THE THEMES THAT FOLLOW ALONG WOULD BE APPROVAL OF THE LCAP DISTRICT BUDGET. SO, THIS IS SOME SCREENSHOTS OF WHAT THE STRATEGIC PLAN LOOKS LIKE. I WANT TO THANK THE CAFE TEAM FOR DOING GREAT WORK ON PUTTING THIS TOGETHER. SO, YOU CAN SEE OUR COVER THERE, AND THEN THE NEXT PAGE SHOWS OUR VISION CORE VALUE AND OUR GOALS. AND THEN, FOR THE PAGES THAT FOLLOW, THIS IS A WAY TO SHOW A DIRECT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN OUR DISTRICT GOALS, OUR PRIORITY AREAS , AND THEN WITH THE BULLETED ITEMS , YOU CAN SEE THE ACTIONS AND SERVICES THAT WE ARE TAKING. IF THEY ARE ALIGNED TO THE LCAP, YOU WOULD SEE A NUMBER AFTERWARDS. YOU WILL SEE ONE POINT ONE, ONE .10, SO, THAT WOULD BE GOAL ONE ACTION ONE, ORACLE ONE ACTION 10. SO, THE COMMUNITY CAN SEE WHAT THE ACTIONS ARE THAT WE ARE TAKING TO MEET THE SPECIFIC GOALS WITHIN THE PRIORITY AREA. SO, WE HAVE THAT FOR EACH OF THEM. SO, YOU CAN SEE GOAL TWO, YOU CAN SEE THAT THERE WERE THREE PRIORITY AREAS, AND THERE WERE THE ACTIONS AND SERVICES FOR THE DISTRICT. FOR GOAL THREE, THERE ARE ALSO THREE PRIORITY AREAS. AND AGAIN, SOME OF THEM WERE COMBINED , AND WHAT WE ARE DOING IS INCLUDED IN EACH ONE OF THOSE. SAME WITH GOAL FOUR. AND GOAL FIVE. SO, IT'S A GOOD OPPORTUNITY TO OVERTLY SEE THOSE CONNECTIONS. ONE THING WE ARE VERY EXCITED ON ON THE NEXT LIGHT, YOU WILL SEE A LIST LINK TO OUR FORWARD FIVE FLIPBOOK. WHAT YOU SAW WAS SORT OF A STATIC PICTURE . WITH THE FLIPBOOK, OUR AMAZING CAFE TEAM WORKED ON THIS . THEY ARE MASTERS OF FLIPBOOK FOR US. THEY ALSO INCLUDE THE VIDEOS THAT WERE PRODUCED FOR EACH OF THE GOALS. WHEN YOU GO TO THE PAINT WITH GOAL ONE, YOU CAN CLICK ON THE VIDEO , AND YOU CAN WATCH THAT. SO, THAT MIGHT EVEN HELP ADDRESS THE QUESTION TAB ABOUT MAKING THE LCAP MORE ACCESSIBLE, BECAUSE THE ACTIONS AND SERVICES ARE LISTED ON THE VIDEO THAT EXPLAINS THE THINGS YOU ARE DOING TO ADDRESS THEM. SO, TONIGHT , WE ARE ASKING FOR THE BOARD TO APPROVE THE FORWARD FIVE STRATEGIC PLAN. WE ARE CONFIDENT IN THE ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES THAT WE HAD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR , THAT THEY ARE ALIGNED WITH THE APPROVED DISTRICT GOALS, OUR VISION, AND OUR CORE VALUES. THEY REFLECT THE WORK THAT WE NEED TO DO FOR THE NEXT FIVE YEARS. OUR NEXT STEPS , IF THE TRUSTEES APPROVE IT TONIGHT, WOULD BE THAT WE WOULD IMPOSE AND SHARE OUR FORWARD FIVE STRATEGIC PLAN CARD FOR OUR EDUCATIONAL PARTNER SO THEY CAN ACCESS THE FLIPBOOK. WE ARE ALSO CREATING SOME FLYERS AND SOME POSTERS THAT WOULD GO ALONG WITH THAT. WE WOULD MAKE SURE WE HAVE THEM [01:20:03] TRANSLATED , AND THEN BE ABLE TO MARKET THAT OUT TO THE PUBLIC SO THEY CAN SEE WHAT WAS AVAILABLE, AND THE DIRECTION OF OUR WORK.
